Worship is a wonderfully huge thing for us! We look forward to worshipping God every week. Seems like every glimpse of Heaven shown in the Bible is about worshipping God...”You are worthy, our LORD and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things…Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise.”
Worship is more than music (yes, we sing new songs and old hymns); Worship is more than the kind of songs we sing; worship is about responding to Him with all your heart in praise, thanksgiving, and hope.
Jesus Christ tells us how to worship God. “Worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23) Imagine that! No. Just don’t imagine it. Do it…with us. Sunday mornings, 9:30.
You see, it is the God of all Creation who is calling us back to that for which He created us—to worship Him and to enjoy Him. When we worship Him like Jesus taught us, we will become more and more like Jesus. As our LORD said, “A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.” (Luke 6:40)
So, a large part of our worship is responding to the revelation of God that we receive in the teaching of His Bible. We teach through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse.
Superintending all our worship, the Holy Spirit orchestrates all His grace to draw us near to God and draw God will near to us.
Join us in worship this Sunday! It’s a huge thing for us all when we worship together.
